How Does Self-Drive Boat Hire Work?

Arrive at the Marina

Arrive at Hope Harbour Marina before your scheduled departure.

Safety & Operating Briefing

We’ll show you how to operate the pontoon, explain the cruising area and cover the safety equipment. We drive the boat out of the marina for you, so there’s no need to manoeuvre around the berths.

Cruise Your Way

Once we’re clear of the marina, you take over and enjoy the Gold Coast waterways at your own pace — cruise, swim, fish, BBQ or stop at your favourite spot.

Return to the Marina

At the end of your hire, bring the pontoon back to the marina entrance and we take over and berth the boat for you. Hirers do not drive inside the marina.
